1. Initial Sanding – 800 Grit:
The first round removes the bulk of oxidation. You’ll notice slurry forming as the surface clears.
2. Refining Sanding – 1000 Grit:
We reduce remaining oxidation while beginning to refine sanding marks for a smoother finish.
3. Progressive Sanding – 1500 & 2500 Grit:
Continued sanding improves clarity and eliminates finer imperfections in the headlight surface.
4. Final Sanding – 3000 Grit:
The headlight becomes noticeably clearer as the final sanding step removes remaining haze.
5. Compounding:
Using a cutting disc, compound, and machine polisher, we remove all sanding marks to restore a smooth, clean surface.
6. Polish & Protection:
We perform a light polish to enhance clarity and apply a durable 1-year ceramic coating, providing long-lasting protection against oxidation and yellowing.

Yes! We offer mobile headlight restoration services throughout Baltimore and surrounding areas, including Columbia, Ellicott City, Glen Burnie, Owings Mills, Towson, Catonsville, Bel Air, Elkridge, Lutherville-Timonium, Linthicum Heights, Pikesville, Cockeysville, and more. Some limitations may apply based on distance or location.
The duration depends on the size and condition of the headlights. Most services take 45 to 90 minutes. Severe damage may require additional time.
Most plastic headlights can be restored, but if damage is severe or permanent, full restoration may not be possible. Even in these cases, headlights will look noticeably better after our service.
Headlights have a protective clear coat, just like your car’s paint. Over time, exposure to the sun, heat, and weather causes this clear coat to deteriorate, leading to yellowing, hazing, and buildup. Parking in direct sunlight accelerates the damage. Unlike automotive paint, headlight clear coats are thinner and wear faster.
To maintain restored headlights, you can apply a headlight wax or sealant every 3–5 weeks. Parking in the shade also helps slow down oxidation and yellowing. A simple 10–15 minute maintenance routine can keep your headlights clear and bright.
